With not so many clear nights of late I have decided to up my processing game (again).
I have recently found that imaging guru Nik Szymanek (Astronomy Now) has opened a YouTube channel and posted some fine image processing tutorials.
He explains some very simple put powerful techniques in a very clear way and decided to try them on my own data - namely M42, the Orion Nebula.
I hope you agree that this image is a country mile better than my previous efforts.
It just goes to show what information is lurking in the data just waiting to be pulled out!
Clear skies
MJ
