Not one to shy away from a challenge I stuck it out through a very cloudy evening to get a single image of this very rare outburst (the first for over 15 years) - recurrent nova that is RS Ophiuchi.
It is so rare that a satellite even wanted in on the act too, so this time I let it ;)
RS Oph is a binary star system and we only know of only 7 such recurrent nova systems.
